Photo Essay: Specters of the Ancients

The Baths of Diocletian, once an ancient Roman day spa and pleasure palace, so to speak, are partially preserved and have been converted into a museum of ancient art and artifacts. Here are some photographs of antique Roman statuary in the gallery of their sculpture garden.

  1. Beautiful shots – when I see ancient sculptures like this, I can’t help but think of the thousands of people that have looked at them over the years, of all the little changes the art has made in their lives.
